Shimmering diamonds all around

Winds open up the sky 

The sun shines and drops shimmer

Afresh, life beckons.

Within dusty corners & faded paint

Wounds are healed

As old memories grow faint.

The fragrance of fresh-ground coffee

And clanking of glasses

Bickering of old friends

Some things still remain timeless.

The Plane

Can't stop and stare

Foreign places with unknown faces,

Serene paths and infinite choices.

The wanderlust deepens as the sky

Remains open to all who wish to fly.

Rains

Let the rains fall

The clouds gather and the sky goes dark,

Lightning flashes with rumbling thunder.

Water pours and the petrichor grows stronger.

Come out. Look into the sky,

Smile as the water beads grace you by.
